Aurelio Miró Quezada S., en su obra “COSTA, SIERRA Y MONTAÑA”, editada en 1947, Lima, cuando se refiere a Sullana escribe: “...cerca de la ciudad está el río Chira. Es él quién le da tono y ofrece riqueza a la ciudad. -La Perla del Chira-, se ha llamado por eso a Sullana, que ha recogido la excelencia de sus tierras feraces y de sus campos de amplio riego. Y así vemos pasar el río ancho, profundo caudaloso. Cruzado ahora por un puente metálico como antes era atravesado por las balsas...”

Así como don Aurelio Miró Quezada resalta la belleza y bondades de esta tierra, muchos, propios y extraños, reconocen y opinan sobre el agradable encanto del valle del Chira; el sabio Antonio Raimondi lo comparó con el paisaje del legendario valle del Nilo de Egipto.

Y es que cada lugar tiene sus propios atractivos y Sullana tiene los suyos, lo que significa que debemos reconocerlos, rescatarlos e integrarlos como parte de nuestra identidad. Precisamente, es el valle del Chira el principal eje turístico de la provincia y es que en su lecho o en sus inmediaciones es donde se encuentran los principales lugares propiamente singulares.

As well as gift Aurelio Miró Quezada it stands out the beauty and kindness of this earth, many, own and strange, they recognize and they say on the pleasant charm of the valley of the Chira; the wise Antonio Raimondi compared it with the landscape of the legendary valley of the Nile of Egypt.
And it is that each place has its own attractiveness and Sullana he has his, what means that we should recognize them, to rescue them and to integrate them like part of our identity. In fact, it is the valley of the Chira the main tourist axis of the county and it is that in their channel or in their suburbs it is where they are the main properly singular places.

Es ist er, wen er ihm Laut gibt, und er bietet Reichtum zur Stadt an. -der Perla vom Chira-, es ist aus dem Grund zu Sullana gerufen worden, der die Vorzüglichkeit ihrer fruchtbaren Länder aufgehoben hat, und von ihren Feldern vom Bewässern weit. Und wir sehen diesen Weg am gewaltigen breiten, tiefen Fluß vorbeikommen. Überquerte jetzt neben einer metallischen Brücke als es, bevor es von den Floßen überquert wurde,...”
Sowie Geschenk Aurelio Miró Quezada, den es aus der Schönheit und der Freundlichkeit dieser Erde, viel, eigen und seltsam, herausragt, sie erkennen, und sie sagen auf dem angenehmen Charme vom Tal vom Chira; der weise Antonio Raimondi verglich es mit der Landschaft vom legendären Tal vom Nil von Ägypten.
Und es ist, daß jede Stelle seine eigene Attraktivität und Sullana hat, hat er seines, das, was bedeutet, daß wir sie, sie zu retten und sie wie Teil unserer Identität zu integrieren, erkennen sollten. In der Tat ist es das Tal vom Chira die Haupt Tourist-Achse der Grafschaft, und es ist, daß in ihrem Kanal oder in ihren Vororten ist es, wo sie sind, das Haupt richtig eigenartige Stellen.
