LA FERIA DE REYES

Se realiza en la primera quincena del mes de enero, siendo su día central el 6. Aquí convergen comerciantes de Perú, Ecuador y Colombia.

Su historia se remonta hace más de 200 años con la aparición de los primeros moradores en estos lugares. Comerciantes y toda suerte de mercachifles venidos de diferentes lugares, convergían, en los meses de diciembre y enero, que retenidos por las crecidas del Chira, aprovechaban su estancia para realizar intercambio comercial con los habitantes del lugar que a su vez ofrecían servicios de hospedaje y alimentación así como la venta de productos agrícolas provenientes del valle. Con el correr del tiempo este intercambio socio-económico fue creciendo al igual que la población, convirtiéndose en una verdadera fiesta popular, con festividad religiosa cuya fecha principal era el 6 de enero, en homenaje al Señor de La Agonía, con exposiciones, actividades culturales y religiosas, y sobretodo un gran movimiento comercial.

Esta tradición había alcanzado tal auge que el alcalde don Natale Amprimo (1954-1955) institucionaliza este movimiento socio-económico con el nombre de Feria de Reyes y que se sigue celebrando en el mes de enero de cada año y donde participan expositores de diferentes partes del Perú y otros países de América. En la década del ´70 se hizo muy notoria gracias a su famoso Festival Internacional de la Canción, donde participaban artistas nacionales e internacionales de mucho prestigio. En la actualidad la Feria de Reyes se desarrolla en un recinto propio ubicado a un costado de la vía Sullana-Piura.

Diese Tradition hatte so ein Höhepunkt erreicht der das Bürgermeister-Geschenk Natale Amprimo (1954-1955) es institutionalisiert diese socio-wirtschaftliche Bewegung mit dem Namen von Ausstellung von Königen und daß es das Dauern im Monat von Januar jedes Jahres von Stelle fortsetzt, und wo sie Aussteller von anderen Teilen vom Peru und anderen Ländern von Amerika teilnehmen. Im Jahrzehnt der ´70 wurde es sehr notorisch danke zu ihrem berühmten Internationalen Fest vom Lied, wo nationale und internationale Künstler viel Prestiges teilnahmen.
