PLAZA
"GRAU"
Sullana
tiene el orgullo de poseer el primer busto en mármol hecho en el Perú,
que simboliza a don Miguel Grau Seminario.
El
busto es una verdadera joya artística esculpida magistralmente en mármol
de carrara (Italia). Es importante observar que en la parte media de
dicho pedestal se encuentra esculpido, también en mármol, el Escudo de
Armas del Perú, según la inscripción, a iniciativa del prefecto don
Fernando Moreno
Este
monumento, que se encuentra ubicado en la Plaza “Grau” ubicada en la
intersección de la av. José de Lama y Enrique Palacios, fue inaugurado
el 08 de octubre de 1948, siendo alcalde don Félix Mendoza Flores.
Cabe
indicar que en 1979, las autoridades piuranas pretendieron recuperar el
busto, pero el alcalde Julio Baca organizó una efectiva campaña
evitando tal arbitrariedad, logrando que la Marina de Guerra remodelara
la plaza. En el año 2000 a iniciativa del alcalde Jorge Camino Calle la
plaza fue totalmente rediseñada, dotándola con luz de neón.

Sullana hat den Stolz, um die erste Büste in Marmor zu besitzen, machte im Peru, das zu Geschenk Miguel Grau Seminario symbolisiert.
Die Büste ist ein wahrer künstlerischer Edelstein, der meisterhaft in carrara-Marmor gebildhauert wird, (Italien). es ist wichtig zu beobachten, daß im Hälfte Teil dieses Sockels es gebildhauert wird, auch in Marmor, das Wappen vom Peru, der Inschrift zufolge, zur Geschenk-Initiative des Präfekten Fernando Moreno
Dieses Monument, das im Quadrat gefunden wird, “Grau” fand in der Kreuzung der Straßen José de Lama und Enrique Palacios, es wurde Oktober von 1948 eingesetzt, 08 Sein-Bürgermeister-Geschenk Félix Mendoza Flores.
Es ist notwendig zu zeigen, daß in 1979 die Verwaltungen von der Stadt von Piura suchten, die Büste wiederzufinden, aber der Bürgermeister Julio Baca Gestell es organisierte eine wirksame Kampagne, die so ein Mißstand vermeidet, und erreichte den Jachthafen von Krieg, um das Quadrat umzumodeln. Im Jahr 2000 zur Initiative des Bürgermeisters Jorge Camino Calle schweigsam das Quadrat, daß es vollkommen entworfen neu war und es mit Licht von Neon ausstattete.
